Changelog
1.0.13 2026-10-21
New
- Sign in from the desktop app through your browser, including with a Google account.
- Use the same OfferShark account on the web and in the desktop app.
- Choose monthly, quarterly, or yearly access with a one-time payment or subscription.
- Improved Windows app closing and payment return handling.
1.0.12 2026-10-12
Improved
- When you're out of sessions, OfferShark now says so and opens Account so you can top up, instead of showing a raw error. A suspended account gets a clear message too.
- Keyboard shortcuts (⌘⇧H / A / S / X) only work while you're listening, so they no longer take over the same keys in VS Code and other apps. ⌘, opens Settings only when OfferShark is focused.
- Changing your password keeps you signed in on this device, and signing out now ends the session on the server too.
1.0.11 2026-10-10
Improved
- Live transcription now recovers on its own from network drops, even deep into a long interview. If it can't reconnect, listening stops and your session is paused, so you're never charged for time without transcription.
- Invisibility can only be turned off in Settings → Privacy & Stealth. The ⌘⇧P shortcut is gone, so pressing it in VS Code or other apps can no longer reveal the overlay by accident.
1.0.10 2026-10-10
On Windows this update comes straight from 1.0.8 and also includes the changes in 1.0.9.
New
- "What's new" in Settings → About opens this changelog. After an update, the first launch tells you which version you're now on.
- You'll be notified when a newer version is available (at most once a day), with links to see what's new or download it.
Improved
- The Terms window is wider, so everything fits without scrolling.
- The language setting now explains what it changes (the app and AI answers) and which languages interviews can be transcribed in.
1.0.9 2026-10-10 macOS only
Improved
- Role settings now let you pick a seniority level and add Accounting, Consulting and Marketing roles. Both places where you set your role work the same way, and the status bar shows role · level.
- The welcome screen stays opaque until you start a session.
Fixed
- Role settings now save reliably, and clicking a role's hint text no longer selects the first role by mistake.
1.0.8 2026-10-09
On macOS this update comes straight from 1.0.6 and also includes the changes in 1.0.7.
Fixed
- Your free trial now picks up where it left off after quitting or restarting, and doesn't count down while the app is closed.
- Fixed the window not restoring after being minimized from Settings.
1.0.7 2026-10-09 Windows only
Improved
- The Windows installer is now digitally signed, so you won't see the "unknown publisher" warning.
Fixed
- Your balance now refreshes when you return to the app after paying, even if the browser didn't redirect you back.
1.0.6 2026-10-09
New
- No more Dock/taskbar icon, so it stays hidden when you share your screen. Use the menu bar (or system tray on Windows) icon to show/hide the window, open Settings, or quit.
- Session history now has its own page in Settings, and you can delete sessions.
Fixed
- Screenshot-only sessions now use the first line of the answer as their history title.
- Fixed Settings and Quit not responding on the welcome screen before signing in.
1.0.5 2026-10-09
New
- "Record my answers" (on by default): your own voice is transcribed too, with instant feedback after each answer. Interviewer audio picked up by your mic is filtered out.
- An "End session" button at the bottom wraps up the session and settles usage before you leave.
- Added entry points for session history and the help guide. Past sessions open read-only.
Improved
- Redesigned welcome screen with a two-column layout. The title bar is down to 4 buttons, with theme and width moved into Settings, and the window resizes for Settings, then restores.
- A longer transparency slider that snaps in 5% steps, plus fixes for sliders and toggles in light theme.
- Appearance now follows your system theme by default.
Fixed
- Fixed the 5-minute trial expiring immediately.
- The microphone permission prompt now appears only once per launch.
- Removed non-functional options from Settings and updated the Privacy page to describe what actually happens with your data.
